I joined the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme at a point when I knew I wanted to build companies, but I still had a lot to learn about turning ideas into real businesses.
Through the programme, I had the opportunity to work with Team Knocknock and experience entrepreneurship from a much closer perspective. Instead of learning through courses or theory, I was able to see how a real team works, how decisions are made, how problems are solved, and most importantly, how an idea is transformed into something that creates value for customers.
During my time with Team Knocknock, I became especially interested in growth, customer acquisition and go-to-market. I learned that building a good product is only one part of creating a successful company. You also need to understand who needs it, how to reach those people and how to build a repeatable way of acquiring customers.
The experience changed the way I approached entrepreneurship personally. I became much more comfortable with experimenting, talking to customers, testing ideas quickly and learning from things that didn’t work.
After the programme, I continued building my own projects and applying what I had learned. Over time, this evolved into a much deeper focus on B2B sales, growth and go-to-market systems.
Eventually, I founded Getlead, where I started building tools and systems around B2B customer acquisition. What began as small experiments grew into a product used by thousands of people and generated more than $80,000 in revenue while I was building the company as a solo founder.
Looking back, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs was much more than an international entrepreneurship programme for me. It gave me practical exposure at an important stage of my journey and helped shape the way I think about building and growing companies today.
Team Knocknock was part of that early chapter. The lessons I took from the experience continued long after the programme ended, through every experiment, customer, failure and company I built afterwards.
